A home inspection is an information service and the information you receive should provide "peace of mind" after completing a technical review of the home. The inspection is a snapshot of the condition of the home on the day of the inspection and will help you gain a better understanding of the house.

The home review will include a visual inspection of the following major systems and components:

4- Skylight, chimney and all roof penetrations
5- Decks, porches and walkways
6- Yard grading and drainage
7- Basement, foundation and crawlspace
8-Water penetration and foundation movement
9- Heating and cooling systems
10- Main water shut off valves
11- Interior plumbing fixtures
12- Drainage sump pumps and floats
13- Electrical service entrance and meter
14- Main disconnect and service amperage
15- Electrical panels, breakers and fuses
16- Grounding and bonding
17- Ground fault circuit indicators
18- Attic insulation and ventilation

The inspection is visual in nature, non-destructive, non-invasive and is intended to focus on the "Big Picture" and address those items that could affect the function of the house.  For this reason it is important to retain a Homecoming House Inspections Inc. experienced inspectors with excellent communication skills and strong technical background.

Home inspections are performed in a manner consistent with the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors and the Canadian Association of Home Inspectors Standards of Practice & Code of Ethics.
